My work is inspired by my travels around the globe, life lived in big cities and the ongoing process of healing from complex trauma.
Half of my process is open and exploratory, as I mix color and movement to create abstract textures viewers can immerse themselves in.
The other half is a meticulous and thoughtful combination of the human form and fine geometric figures that represent careful, introspective thinking and action.
With this variety of textures, people and objects, I create visual representations of what internal feelings and experiences can be—both my own and those that viewers may feel through the subjects in my work.
